Ski and Snowboard Conditioning
A great conditioning program for downhill skiers and snowboarders. Beginners through advanced. Dryland training involves core and leg strength, balance and stability exercises and more. Ski simulation is part of the program. Prevent injuries and master the slopes!

Adult Sport Conditioning

Sport conditioning is fast becoming the most popular type of fitness program around. This boot camp style class uses a variety of balance, core strength, agility, stability ball and weight training using specialized equipment. A great all-round workout. All levels welcome. Class incorporates BOSU, X-treme boards, Slasticks, TRX, medicine balls, dumbbells, kettlebells, stability balls, and the most amazing ladder drills you’ve ever seen.

Strong Bones  40+
Osteoporosis class. This class will help you to strengthen and tone your muscles while building strong bones. This is gradual introduction to an exercise program with focus on resistance training as well as core strengthening and flexibility. Ideal for beginners. Morning and evening classes available. Strong Bones 40+ (Advanced) Ready for more! Progress to the advanced level of Strong Bones 40+ when your instructor feels you are ready. Strong Bones 40+ (Beginner) is a prerequisite. Morning and evening classes available.

Strength Training for Runners

Help avoid injury and improve performance. Proper weight training can significantly reduce or completely relieve kneecap pain or 'runner's knee.' It also reduces the recurrence of many other common injuries, including nagging hip and low back pain. By strengthening muscle, as well as bone and connective tissue, weight training not only helps to prevent injury but also helps to reduce the severity of injury when it does occur. Trail runners will find it especially helpful.

 Diabetes Exercise Class
Fitness class for people with diabetes. Supervised by a registered kinesiologist and/or certified exercise physiologist. Uses a variety of equipment in the clinic and the cardio/weight room in the Leisure Centre. Participants are normally referred by their doctor or by Fraser Health Diabetes Education Centre.

Strength Training for Women

Learn the basics of weight training. Keeping strong can help you avoid injury and stay strong and active for the rest of your life. As an added bonus, weight training can help you become a better calorie burner. Our instructor will teach you proper exercise technique as well as helpful hints for healthy lifestyle choices.

Water Works
This is an aquatic program run in conjunction with the Arthritis Society of BC and Yukon for individuals with arthritis. Gentle range-of-motion exercises for every joint in the body to increase mobility and function. Knee and hip replacements welcome. No swimming required.
